So about the ads…
I signed up for Google AdSense to offset the cost of hosting this site. Unfortunately, the placement controls did not work as intended, and the pennies earned frankly aren’t worth the user frustration they’ve created.
Over the next few weeks, the amount of ads on this site should decrease, and the intention is that they will not be as in-your-face as they are now.
For the time being, as this website is intended for Sturbridge residents and business owners, you can sign in or sign up using Facebook, Google, or just your email address. Registration is completely free, and no data is sold, no data is shared except for Google Analytics. Logged in users do not see Google’s ads . I have also tested with Brave and Safari built-in ad blockers which help a lot, if you’d prefer not to sign up.
